  • Introduction students to the workshop environment and health & safety.

  • Making a functional Jig that will introduce students to workshop equipment.  Teach students the benefits of jig making and how they assist in the manufacturing process.

  • Manufacture a bedside table that is fit for purpose and meets the brief and specifications.

Light it up - Conceptual design & Implementation

  • Critically analyse their own and others’ design outcomes to inform the development of ideas for feasible outcomes.

  • Undertake a critical evaluation that is informed by ongoing experimentation and functional modelling, stakeholder feedback, and trialling in the physical and social environments.
