13MAS - Statistics NCEA Level 3

Aims of the Course:

This course is designed for students who enjoy collecting and analysing data and linking this

analysis to real-life situations. Students will use actual data sets to investigate problems and

suggest solutions. 


Statistics at University is one of the most popular Stage 1 courses as it is a requirement for

students studying fields of Humanities, Commerce, Business and some Sciences.


Topics:

Analysis of Time Series and Bivariate data.  Using Critical path analysis for project management.  Applying probability concepts and distributions.



Recommended Prior Learning

Students must have achieved at least 14 credits in either 12MTS or 12MTC.
